I don't think 1k will get you any of those brands. There might me some entry level TagH Quartz.

Buy second hand. You will pick up a nice Omega for 1-1.2k though second hand prices are strengthening.

    Lovely

Which model are you recommending exactly?

That brand is way over rated imo. Each to their own but for that money I'd rather buy a second hand Tag, Breitling or Omega.

For that money you MIGHT get a second hand quartz Tag but you certainly
Won't get an omega or breitling worth talking about.

Very decent Omega Seamaster 300 auto - current model! - on eBay yesterday current price about $1,000 but you might get stung for import duties and VAT...

There was a slightly older about 10 year old one on adverts recently, auto too and bought in a Dublin shop originally. Got timewasters' bids of up to €1,200 and a realistic bid of €1,000 (from me) but I think it was withdrawn. The previous owner had paid too much for it and seemed reluctant to cut his losses

So yes, it is doable, almost within your budget. Forget about Rolex though and I'm personally not that interested in Tag Heuer watches, so couldn't tell you about their prices.

If someone sees a blue Seamaster 300 auto, current model, coaxial with ceramic bezel for around that kind money, please let me know, would much appreciate it :)

in what respect exactly is it over-rated, out of interest?

I put a perfect enough condition Tag Monaco up for sale on Adverts at around 1.2k and as getting ready to accept bids at 1k before I thought sod it, why am I selling lovely watch! But I would agree, with patience and a bit of research good s/h options will appear.

If 1k was my max and I definitely wanted new, I'd probably look at the Certina range initially, specifically having in mind many of their models have nods to Tag designs.

Hamilton will have options also in this price range. Same group as Certina.

If you want a new watch maybe you should pick a style you like ie post a few photos, and people can make better suggestions.
