Note the flaring on the wheel wells to accommodate wider tires (not fitted).
Looks like some changes around the high beam headlights too, an accent of sorts (might end up being black to match the hood).
High beam lights are different shape too... probably LED, and looks like a fake headlight in the camo on top of them.

Rumor is of a 75km bump in real world range over the 94Ah.

I was hoping they'd adjust the lines of the windows on the side. It would be so much nicer to have a clean straight line.
Not much different but I'll be following with interest!

Agreed, not much different. I've always been into cars, I have been very fond of BMWs since I bought my first one (a V8 petrol 5-series almost 20 years ago) and I know the i3 is a good drivers car and a good EV, but I admit, it doesn't really get my pulse to go much over the 50bpm...

Its ugly as sin, unimaginative. Make the car ugly because driving an EV means you are different and where black rimmed glasses.

BMW got it wrong. Simple as that.

It's never going to win any beauty awards but to call it unimaginative is completely ridiculous stuff.

It is unimaginative to conceive an ugly vehicle purely based on the fact is is an EV. I firmly believe that is what BMW did.

Its like attempting to be edgy just for the sake of being edgy.

Its form is largely a product of the engineering solutions that wasn't the usually dump a battery pack in a standard car chassis. You see many carbon-fibre cars in the class with no b pillar, suicide doors, specially designed tyres etc.

One thing I don't get and that seems to apply across almost all of the electric vehicles today with exception of the Teslas maybe.
Why is it that all electric vehicles look shit?

I understand the need to be small and I understand the need to be light in weight. But why do they all have to look like an accident between a micra, a multipla and a smart car?

    Edit:
Is it to avoid attracting attention from revenue? :pac: Like as in hey whats that there? Looks rather snazzy. What? Its tax free? Ah well we'll put an end to that quickly so, it might become popular...

    As opposed to...

Hey whats that there? An electric vehicle. Oh. I take it they must be subsidised or so...

    New I3 ? more of a minor facelift ?

BMW need to make a 3 series and 5 series EV, something a lot more practical and normal.

A 3 series EV is on the way in 2019. However, the i3 is a much more practical car than the 3 series. I can't even fit comfortably in the current 3 series.

Not sure that they all do.

The Leaf is weird looking, no doubt. The i3 even uglier in my opinion.

But the Zoe is a pretty normal looking small car, and the Ioniq is a fine looking car too.

Biggest thing they could do to this car is make it a 5 seater.

I guess they both look normal enough, true.
i3 is really disappointing and Leaf is probably the most popular one so they were the ones to register with me.

Well, I guess each on their own :)

I think the i3 looks absolutely gorgeous! If I was single and with no obligations - you'd see me zipping around in that little bug / do not get confused with my admirations towards the ioniq as a really nice family car/.
