What is everyone's thoughts on an end of terrace townhouse vs a 3 bed semi detached. Are they essentially the same? Would it be easier to sell one over the other?

Does the end of terrace have side entrance and wider front/rear garden?

    You would be correct.

    Sorry misread your post.
3 bed semi would get my pick if it has front garden etc

Town house gets annoying after a while especially with parking and little things like cleaning out the car, getting shopping in etc

It actually has a front garden with space for two cars not street parking.

What makes it a townhouse then?

How do they compare for size, internal layout and aspect?

That's a good question. Thats just what it says on the brochure. I guess everything it has is pretty much the same as a semi detached.

I believe they're 1100sq/ft with South facing back gardens and option of downstairs layout with either a hall or no hall.

A south facing back garden at the end of a terrace will generally catch more sun then a 3 bed semi in the middle of the row. It'd be worth doing a model.

Do they add extra windows to the end wall? That can make a hose much brighter.

1100 is small for a new build 3 bed. What's the planning history?

An end of terrace may have more road noise but that will depend on location.
There may also the potential for your gable wall to become a set of goalposts for the neighbourhood kids though that and the corresponding balls in your back garden are a minor irritant.

In all if the internal layouts are the same its much of a muchness except for the sunshine.

I guess the square footage probably seems small compared to the three story 3 beds that seem to be the norm these days. I'm not sure we would be happy with a 3 story as if you have kids then typically they would be on the first floor and we would be on the top floor since the master bedroom is normally there.

As for the gable Wall, there are end of Terrance houses which are on the inside of the four rows of four if that makes sense. So we would want one of them.

End terrace could have an attraction for anti social behaviour

Well there's a sweeping statement without even knowing the site layout.

This could essentially be an end of terrace with another terrace adjacent.

It's hard to give an answer without knowing the site layout and location.

Where do your guests park ?

My guess is nowhere as the neighbour will be out giving hell because theyve parked in or over their spots regardless if they need them or not....;)

If you are neutral as to the house type, consider price, location and aspect.
