Just wondering if anyone could help me out. I was looking to buy a bag of maize. I've tried a few different co ops but no one seems to sell maize. You can get maize meal ground maize and flakes maize. I'm actually after kernel maize. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. I'm in the clare/limerick area but don't mind if I've to travel.

    Listed under "straights" http://mcdbros.ie/products/feed-2/
You could also try any pet shop that specialises in racing pigeon feed.

Surprised agri store doesn't have it, we can usually get it locally in 40kg bags.

Taltys in lisseycasey do one type in 20kg bags. I'd put money down that Liffey mills and dan mcinerneys in Ennis would have it also

They just sell pigeon food. The mixed stuff. They reckon you can't get maize by its self. Worth a try.

Try one of the smaller mills. Most mills now just grind the maize to meal. It a case that they would not be bothered to bag it straight. I know it was common once to feed it to sheep that way.

Was talking to a chap who races pigeons and he has told me of a small mill in limerick city that should sell it so I'm going to check it out tomorrow.

If that doesn't work out, let me know and I'll give my neighbour a shout. He is in a racing pigeon club and he might know:
