So boards is currently an insecure site - http

Yet we have a talk to forum where third party service providers request personal details by PM as if PM is somehow secure.

Is that in accordance with terms of use?

Is there a plan to move to https?

edit: sorry I just realised that this might be the wrong sub forum

    Hi there,

Thanks for your message. The Legacy site does not utilise HTTPS, as there are lots of javascript files in use that are only available on HTTP.

However, the Responsive site (accessible from the footer) does use HTTPS for everything, including the transmission of Private Messages. That the PM system wasn't previously encrypted was a concern for ourselves and for users so a lot of time and work was put into building the new site to ensure that it addressed this issue.

Regarding PMs and Talk To forums (though this is before both myself and Niamh), the Data Protection Commissioner reviewed the PM system when the first Talk To forum was going live and was happy for them to proceed knowing how and with whom private data would be shared.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
