I was in an orchestra a while ago playing clarinet but due to work I could not keep going. I want to keep up the playing but find that trying to practice on my own is difficult. I am grade 2 on clarinet but only starting off so am better than grade 2 and played to grade 6 piano when I was younger. I am 38.
I am looking to get a practice session once a week on a Friday or Saturday evening in the celbridge area.
    Any interest?

Hi I'm not exactly what you're looking for but am in a similar position. I'm grade 6 classical trained in flute but would love to play with others. Can I ask what orchestra you were previously playing in as that's something that would interest me. I'm in North dublin area so not ideal for you

I was in the celbridge concert orchestra. I thought it was a good way to get practicing. It was and I was asked to play in a jazz band also while there but again it was on a difficult time abs day to get to. What I end up doing is a duo for clarinet and record one part and play it over while playing the other.

Thanks for that. I used to play like that too but would love to play with others and have a reason to practice. Thanks for that info and best of luck
