Recommend a gaming laptop?

I'm out of touch with both current gen laptops and gaming due to taking a break to have a family.

Long story short, in 2011 spent ~€1800 on an Alienware MX11 with an i7, 8GB Ram and a Nvidea 1GB GT335m. It was light, small, and is still (more or less) doing me good service today - although I need to stream games from my desktop now.

So it's time for an upgrade, and I have upto €2500 in the piggy bank. I'm not setting out to spend every penny, and I'd like to get something that will keep me going for 4-5 years.

Ideally it won't crush my lap, and preferable it'll be somewhat portable.
Any ideas, suggestions, recommendations???

Currently trying to get work to approve purchase of one for me . Kinda Ticks all the boxes . good spec , Looks nice , gaming capable ...even though I will be using it for Design work ...mostly

2.6kg is not too bad , lighter than my current long serving M14x @ 3kg

I was looking at them, but they only goto the GTX 1050. The Alienware runs upto the 1070. (Albeit for an extra grand!)
