Cut Saddle Post

Due to the Bottle holder screws, I cannot lower my saddle down to the required height (only need 1/2 inch) Is it OK just to cut it as long as I do not cut it above the min height DT

You could cut the half inch off safely enough.

It doesn't matter whether or not you cut above the original minimum height mark - the issue is that when you do cut a seat post, remember that the de facto minimum insert requirement will move up the post by the amount that you remove, and the original stamped mark will be invalid.
