Cut Saddle Post

    Due to the Bottle holder screws, I cannot lower my saddle down to the required height (only need 1/2 inch)

    Is it OK just to cut it as long as I do not cut it above the min height

    You could cut the half inch off safely enough.

    It doesn't matter whether or not you cut above the original minimum height mark - the issue is that when you do cut a seat post, remember that the de facto minimum insert requirement will move up the post by the amount that you remove, and the original stamped mark will be invalid.
