Hi all this morning I revieved a letter from sw to attend an individual activation meeting. I have searched the forum and it seems like the standard letterate where the meeting will discuss employment objectives and set up a personal progression plan etc. It also includes an employment services registration form in which they also request you bring your c.v to the meeting.

My queries relate to the fact I'm claiming Jst (Jobseeker Transitional Payment) since the rules of opf changed and my daughter turned 7. Under this payment you do not need be actively seeking or available for full time work due to childcare etc but the rules re part time work are changed slightly to benefit working parents as far as I am aware. So I'm just wondering does anyone have any experience of this? The employment services form has me worried they will try and push me into a job or course that would not work around school hours and that in itself would make this new transitional payment pointless. Appreciate any insight anyone can offer.

Not quite sure with your circumstances but have been attending these meetings myself. It's a two minute meet each month with an advisor and you just hand in a list of jobs you've applied for. They don't force the work on you in my experience, so long as you are showing actively seeking work. I understand with your circumstances this might not be true for you, but just thought I'd let you know what the meetings consist of :)
