Back to Education Assistance

Hey guys, just looking for some advice here. Basically I'm considering going back to college for a career change and doing a one year Springboard course later this year, just wondering if anyone is aware of any financial assistance I might be able to avail of?

I've lived abroad for the past few years but hoping to move home again this year. I have some savings but it'll be difficult to survive a full year if I have to rent and live in Dublin. It's supposedly a very intensive course so part time work probably won't be an option. I've looked into the student grant but you need to have lived in the country for 3 of the past 5 years to qualify and I haven't. Likewise for the back to education grant you need to be progressing in Fetac level and technically I'll be going sideways so again I'm out of luck.

Is there any other option open to me out than taking out a loan?

    Thanks
