Starting a thread for this as I don't see one (feel free to delete it if there is one though, mods).

Anyone watch this last night? Felt it was an average episode; I liked Riz Ahmed's character and the setting, thought we'd see a bit more clashing with the rich housewives though. Hannah was her usual self (and is it just me or a little more naked than usual).

The Marnie / Desi thing seems never-ending. I'm guessing she's not going to end up with Ray at the end of the series. Who knows though.

The last scene at the campfire sort of suggests that Hannah might have changed her outlook, but at the very last moment she looked sort of downcast. Will she return to NY a changed woman, or just the same as she always was?

I did not like the season opener and for a moment I felt like maybe the show had passed it's prime but the latest episode was top notch stuff.

I was worried that it had crossed that line where the characters are so unlikeable that nobody would want to watch the show anymore but that last 40 minutes was Girls at it's very best.

Makes me realise that this show will be sorely missed come next year.

Yeah it'll definitely be missed, top quality stuff with a few missteps along the way! Very glad I stuck with it :)

I liked it. I hate show finales. Apart from six feet under I've found every finale to be pretty silly "fan service". This was like a normal episode of girls, very focused on Hannah and dealing with her new life. At least it tried to be different.

It wasn't a patch on season five, but still pretty decent.

Season five was better, six was tonally uneven, and lack of Shosh was unforgiveable. I don't care if they wheeled her out with a secret engagement five minutes from the end. She's a main character FFS.

Final episode was meh, I get why they did it that way- the heavy-handed "there is no closure in life"- but why did she have to have a baby? Felt very un-Hannah.

I dunno, I thought they had made it clear for a long time Sosh had gone her separate ways.

Fair enough it may have been a bit abrupt but it was never deeply into her character as much as Hannah.

As for the baby, I don't see the issue? She's careless, she has lots of unprotected sex, it's hardly inconceivable she would have a baby!

Only finished the season and thought it was a strong way to end the show. Loved the last few episodes.

The lack of Shosh was very much intentional and worked for me. Sad that she got such little screen time as I was a big fan but I did like how her story ended.

I'll really miss the show. Provided some if the best TV in recent years imo.
