Having trouble agitating a 4 foot tank. Basically the sumps were put in the wrong place. Very old shed

Using ordinary agitator puts huge pressure on shaft as its not at the right angle

Anyone any suggestion on a type of agitator I could get or hire or some solution??

Is there any way of raising the tractor? I saw an agitator working off a low loader during the floods last year to keep the water from a house.

The spout would be still to high

Could you get a wide angled PTO shaft that is designed to work at an angle?

    What about a pedal mixer

I used to use a lagoon propeller type agitator in 5' deep tanks, might be a solution? Had to take off the top link and lift the arms up to slide reverse in the agitator under slats iykwim.

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

The walls of the tank are running the wrong way, would propeller agitator be heavy? Because of stanchions it's awkward getting into shed with something so long? Could I slide it across slats and then hook it up?

That sounds rough, wide angle shaft might be the better option. I wonder how much hp those hydraulic driven pto's can take?

Tanks are in a sheep shed and only gets emptied every few years so I'd imagine it will need a good bit of hp to get it moving

If the spout is too high can you get a attachment for the spout to redirect the slurry back into the tank. It should not be too hard to get such an attachment made bolt it on.

My neighbour owns a pig farm all his tanks are 3-4ft deep. He has an NC agitator adapted spout to suit these tanks. It's a great job.

Major make/made these agitators in six foot as well as eight. There is a drive chain in the body and pulleys so shortening one might not be that difficult. They are not listed on the website but they might still be making them, or might make you a special one.
