Our 7 year old dog has been acting really weird since he got up this morning. He is walking all over the house and just cant settle. Normally he sleeps most of the day. He wants out then turns and comes in again he goes into his bed for a few mins then gets out again. He hasent slept today at all he actually dozed off standing up. We know our dog inside out and dont think he is sick but there is defo something not right. This is going to be an eventful night.

You need to bring your dog to the vet OP... however well you know him, they are masters at hiding pain. Everything he's doing is what dogs do when they're not feeling good. Almost all sudden changes in behaviour are due to a medical issue.

Is he licking the air, or attempting to vomit without bringing anything up? Is his stomach quite fat? I am always very aware of bloat, which can unfortunately be deadly.

most of the time he is walking with his nose towards the floor yes i have seen him do this when he is going to vomit at other times. He has just eaten something now and seems to be settled down in his bed for the first time today

Delighted to report that our dog is back to his old self today. I found a bit vomit behind the sofa this morning he must have done it when he got out of his bed during the night .

    Thank you for your replies
