Dumb question - do people use old CRT monitors for arcade cabs usually?

People do indeed use them, a lot of folk may prefer to use an LCD flat panel in a modern, lightweight tabletop build, but if you are making an authentic upright or a cocktail there is nothing to beat a proper CRT, and a 22" is a great size.
Once people are happy that the CRT is working and won't require a chassis repair or similar and become a dust collector, I think there'd be plenty of takers.
I would caution that there is no sales allowed here in the main forum, but if you are selling it pop it into the Marketplace, following the template there, and good luck with the sale.

If its the same as the monitor on adverts then unfortunately is not particularly suited to retro gaming as the min sync rate is 30KHz. Arcade boards and most consoles typically use 15KHz.

That said, it would make a fantastic VGA monitor and should work with Dreamcast & XBOX if you got the VGA cables.
