    Please can someone help....

We suffer about a leak every few months in our copper pipes ( pipes 17 years old) ....the most leaks was in the hot water return but the last leak was in the cold water pipe....getting so fed up with it....thinking of totally replumbing...someone then suggested it could be an electrical charge that is corroding our pipes, anyone got any knowledge of this or how to prevent it
    Thanks in advance

    Mod: maybe move to plumbing.
    OP
You need to tell us a lot more about the water supply and what pipework is being affected: radiator system or the hot and cold system or what.
Its not clear from your post.
Are the pipes all exposed or buried in concrete?

If it is the heating system, then you need to explain what sort of radiators you have, what the heating source is, is the system open or closed and when was it last cleaned out and the inhibitor replaced..
The other possibility is that the house earthing system is not working properly.

You could have pipework bonded to earth and it would rule it out.
