Have a triton shower that's not heating the water at all. The temp is just fine and it doesn't seem to be making weird noises. Is the shower done for? Im thinking element is gone. Or can this be fixed? I do know homebase have showers atm for around 60euro Triton Amber 3, If anyone knows anything about these let me know.

    Thanks

So there's no hot water at all coming from it? A new Triton is around €200 or so, buying same brand makes life easier as fittings for power and pipes are in the same place.

If i leave it on for a good few minutes it'll start getting a bit warm. But nothing like it should be. But literally new house so i know nothing about it really. The heat coming through could even be because the oil was on? Idk. But as I said theres a triton for sale for 60 euro in Homebase. Far shot off 200.

T90i works from water in attic storage tank so oil heating would have nothing to do with it. What you should try is remove the shower head so only the hose is left and see what the temperature out of the hose is, could be blocked at shower head. The €60 one from Homebase is worthless compared to the T90i.

I did do that unfortunately. it comes fine out of the head anyway and plenty of pressure just as i said no heat for a good maybe 3 minutes and at that its luke warmish ? Any ideas

I'm not so sure about the same brand thing. I took out an old Mira Elite before and replace with a new Elite ST and the pipes were way off, had to break tiles to join it up.

Not sure on Mira but for the Tritons the last 3 of them I have had were identical in the water pipe and electrics so were easy swaps.

Your Triton T90i is obsolete. They stopped making it in 1999 and you can no longer get parts for it. You need to replace it with a triton t90sr. These are around 240/260 Euro at a trade counter.
The triton Amber would be a mains fed shower and not compatible with the set up you have. Even if it would suit you won't get much of a shower for 60 Euro

Our T90si packed up last week. There is a guy on adverts.ie supply and fitting of the T90sr for €299 based in Dublin. He has alot of recommendations and great feedback so went ahead and got that. He did a great job, no complaints.

Problem is he didn't give you a vat receipt for €299. The black market is killing any recovery
