    Hi Guys,

I am wondering what is the best ration on the market for feeding young pedigree bull calves? Opinions welcome.

Like as in a couple of weeks . just a general one with eighteen percent protein and flaked maize and soyabean near the top of the ingredients

When I was breeding beef pbr's I only ever fed Autumn born calves rolled oats plus minerals during the Winter. The theory in those days was to encourage skeletal growth and development. I introduced a higher protein feed when they were on creep prior to weanling and thereafter increased the quantity.
I'm from the old school where I preferred to see a pbr bull/heifer in their working clothes rather than some breeder pumping them with nuts and sometimes trying to disguise their natural shape/frame :)
