I am on Qlaira pill. I got my period last week. I stopped taking my pill 5 days ago (completly forgot when i was sick) and had unprotected sex last night. Is there a possibility I could be pregnant? When is the most dangerous time? Im just afraid to start another pack incase I could be pregnant. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.

Talk to your pharmacist. They'll be able to advise you as to what you should do.

Pop into the chemist and get the emergency contraceptive pill it's €15 -€35 depending on the chemist and can be taken up to 5 days later but the sooner the better.
Talk to the pharmacist about when to start your pill again while your there.

    Try not to panic

If your cycle is regular and close enough to 28 days you are most likely to ovulate on the 14th day AFTER the first day of your last period. You can get pregnant if you have sex before ovulation as some sperm can survive up to 5 days inside the woman. So an egg that is released 5 days after sex can still be fertilized by sperm from that sex 5 days previously.

You should speak to a pharmacist as soon as possible. The sooner you take the morning after pill after unprotected sex the more effective it is.
