Attempting to roof my own shed

    Hi everyone,
I recently bought a house and there is an old block shed out the back in a bad state of repair. I think it was built in the 50's or 60's, I think it is block built, has that pebbledash/ rough knobbly exterior. It needs to be re-roofed , the current roof is leaking/ falling in. It doesn't need to be anything fancy , just look tidy and be waterproof really, then I can get to work freshening up the inside.

So to my point, I am thinking of doing this myself, and I don't know how to go about it! :) I am pretty handy at DIY, but electrical and mechanical are more my strong points, I don't know much about carpentry. I figure how hard can it be, would anyone have any pointers on where to look to get started? It can be a flat roof ( as it is currently) , or peaked, I'm open to suggestions. the whole thing will have to be done, rafters the lot. any suggestions on where to look for help/ instructions??

    Thanks,
    Gerry

Hi Gerry, can you post an image and existing dimension of perimeter? If there is an existing roof in safe condition, it may be as simple as some roof panelling and tec screws.

He can't post a pic as he is sub 50 posts
OP: what are the dimensions, including the height as if you go too high with the peak you may need planning
