TRACTOR, NEED ADVICE PLEASE

    Hi got a 1984 same tractor here and noticed get hard to turn on steering so checked the resoviousr and notice creamy stuff leaking out and opened the cap and was foamy and started to all leak out or bubbled up, what the story here

    Is the reservoir low? When it's low like that there isnt enough oil to pump to push the cylinder. The frothing will be from foaming with all the air in there. There is a seal on the drive shaft too and if that's leaking the oil will go down into the engine sump, so be careful. The wrong oil leaking down could damage the engine.
    So top up reservoir with proper oil and if the level is dropping a lot after a few days, maybe get that seal replaced. Check for leaks elsewhere too.
