Hi. I was running a wifi analyser on my PC and noticed an extra 5g signal, it has some dots a pipe then HIDDEN as the name. Nearly the same strength as my signal so think it is coming from my router. Still shows after disabling 5g. I am guessing it has to do with access for eir during setup but it would be great if I could turn it off.
    It is af2000 modem.

Or it's just your 5ghz wifi, routers often broadcast 2 wifi signals, 2.4 and 5Ghz

Eir are trialing a competing service to VM's Wi-Free. You might be in the catchment area.

It's not that. The ssid would display as eir_wifi for this. I read somewhere that a strange ssid can appear if a firmware upgrade fails or similar. Quite a while ago, I'll see if I can find a link (tomorrow)

That was a zyxel bug, shouldn't occur on Huawei gear.

thanks for the replies. I had a 5g ssid setup and this was a second one that isn't listed anywhere in the setting. I also have guest network disabled. don't think it is from another house cause the signal was as strong as my signal.

it is gone now, very strange.
