Oil Boiler controls - help

I have a 3 zone system which isnt working the greatest and I am planning on replacing.

I have 2 Timeclocks at the back door - 1 is 2 zone heating, the other is just water. It used to be the case that the heating being on would also warm the water in the tank. But now the boiler wont come on for the radiators unless the water one is on also. There are other frustrating elements within it.

I am looking for just one controller that can do all 3 zones which is programmable for individual zones and decent tech too (digital or smart).

I love the idea of the nest (and equivalent) but have been told that i would need 2 controllers for these options and to put 2 on would be expensive. Is there something out there that would work for me. It doesnt have to be a nest but something with decent tech that can work all 3 zones and be programmable easy enough.

Id appreciate any help i can get.

I would say that you don't have a big problem there. Most likely a zone valve switch acting up. Its something that happens often enough.

Please follow site and charter rules. "Resistance is futile"

yeah i think some of the valves acting up, getting an electrician out next week to have a look. thats why i wanted to take the opportunity to update the system. it is frustrating with the 2 clocks and id like to move to one. I have 2 wired stats (sitting room, bedroom) for the zones. would like to try and keep stats going, either those ones or new with existing cables connected to controller. i am liking the idea of the EPH with Ember will probably give them a call. Im not sure where close to Longford i will get them. Whats confusing is the fact that ember can be linked to 16 zones so that would be 16 stats which is fine but how would that work with the fact i have only a motor for upstairs and one for downstairs. if one of the zones hits temp will it knock off all the other rooms in that zone. im not sure how that would work.
I just want to change the controller and make sure the motorized valves are working ok.
