Never had a fully black one, have had a few pollys with enough white to wonder alright. The cross could cause the fully black I assume. What bull did she get? You could dna test or genomic test her to be sure. Years ago had a cow supposed to be in calf with a fr but in the height of talk between dad and the ai man the biggest bb was put into her and wasn't till calving it was found out

Ai'd to Lwr I wouldn't mind only its a heifer calf. You would think some bit of white would come through in the calf.I suppose if the calf hasn't to be polled you'd think maybe the AI man mixed up the straw with an Angus or something. Would genomic testing be expensive?

lwr calves are very black anyway.

Yeah lwr throws em very black, that and the cross in the mother is probably the reason. I think it's 50quid, will give you a more accurate ebi as well. Dna test just to confirm the sire is cheaper I think.

Seems like many of the Jersey Bull calves had their straws mixed up with the Angus on conception day..

Jersey colouring very strong, DNA testing is think nearly €30, LWR is very black, I wouldn't worry about it...
