Just wondering if any guys have the calor/flo gas water heaters in dairy and if its the way to go? Have a 200L water heater but cylinder is starting to leak so looking at options. Or maybe heat transfer units if anyone has experience with them?

Consider geothermal, solar thermal and heat recovery from your chiller. You might still need a boiler for mid-winter, but it would cut your fuel costs a lot.

What temperature do you need the water?

80 to 85 degrees would be the recommendation for washing plant. I think the cost of geo would be prohibitive unless it could also be used for house which I can't. Solar and heat recovery would be options I would be looking into but its to get the most cost effective combination is the key
