I just read that it's going to be cancelled at the end of April, big loss to GAA fans. It's an enjoyable program with good analysis, bar Sean Ban.

    Agreed.
Always watch it or if I miss it,catch up on the player.
I wonder why?Are they going to replace it with another GAA type programme?

It is being done away with, as the new director general thinks the format is outdated.

    http://www.irishtimes.com/sport/dara-%C3%B3-cinn%C3%A9ide-disappointed-at-the-end-of-se%C3%B3-sp%C3%B3irt-on-tg4-1.2967880

Cinneide is very good, but the rest of the pundits are a bit hit and miss imo.

New CEO of TG4 seems to want to axe all their studio shows bar the news. So all talk shows are for the chop by the looks of it.

Pity as used to watch Seo Spoirt on a Friday evening from time to time.

    Shame.

I'd like to see Ó Cinnéide in the role of pundit again. He was good at it.

I think RTE should snap up Dara Ó Cinnéide and put him in as a co commentator for matches, just to freshen things up,

Martin Carney and Tommy Carr can get a little tiresome at times listening to them,be good to have a few lads that arent long out of the game in the commentary box

100% need a decent co commentator .Carney is out of touch with modern football. Rather press the mute button than listen to Carr.

Along with O Cinneide,I would have Padraig Joyce,Ryan McMenamin,Eoin Mulligan and Paul Galvin as studio pundits/co commentators

That has to be understatement of the year it must be said.

Is Tommy Carr from Dublin or Tipperary? When he on tele he put on some kind of horrible posh accent. I'd rather listen to Martin Carney. That how bad he is :D

His brother Declan captained Tipp to the 91 All Ireland victory, Delan hurled with Holycross, Michael Lowry-Land. I couldn't tell you much about the whole Tipp Dublin business.

The phrase you are looking for is "I'd rather cut off my ears and feed them to the cat than listen to them"

    "No malice whatsoever"

As the camera zooms in on some corner forward searching on the turf for his teeth

Back on topic, it will be sad to see this go, O Cinneide should hopefully get a gig on RTE or Sky out of it. Good communicator and knows the game. So that probably rules him out of RTE's shouting matches.

Think they moved to Tipp when the boys were young?

They are Dubs who moved to Tipp in their teens. Tommy probably a bit older.

Two brothers have completely different accents! Tommy's more to do with officer's mess I suspect!

Strong support for petition to stop TG4 axing Seó Spóirt as GAA stars criticise decision

Gutted. Great analysis and chaired brilliantly by Dara.

Hopefully it'll be revamped in a slightly different format and hold onto Dara.

FFS this is the only decent sports programme out there with proper analysis a real presenter who asks all the right questions and good analysts not looking for soundbites and headlines

Outdated format means you'll probably end up with two kunts in shiny suit standing in front of a tv with some **** graphics talking rubbish offering no insight and throwing out the odd "controversial" comment to make sure they make some clickbait headlines
