Tumble dryer issue

Hi. I stupidly opened the tumble dryer mid cycle. Now when I go turn it on it'll go for 20 mins and then trip the switch.

I've plugged it out to allow to fully cool and reset the dial. Is it fooked?

I regularly clean the condenser unit and flint and water with every use.

    Edit. It's 6 years old

The element got wet. Get a hair dryer and dry out all that area where the element is.
It happened me last month. I just replaced the element , bought it on eBay for €8 ..

Might have to get some one in to do that. Wouldn't have a notion of how to take that apart.
