Someone on here may know a bit about this.

A commercial development that was developed with community parking shared with the said units but the actual parking spaces were not individually allocated to specific units.
The only thing that suggests allocation of parking is on the initial planning allocation the local authority requirement for something like 8 spaces per 100 sq Metre and 2 spaces per 100 sq Metre for the first floor of the property.

Question... has the planning requirement any bearing on the actual ownership of the said parking?

I'll move this to the Construction/Planning forum where you may receive more relevant answers. Please note their charter.

Can you link to a planning or provide the reference number and what council.
Do you own or rent a unit.
    What does your lease state.
I don't think units own the spots, more so they are managed and each retail unit has access to them spots.

The property belongs to my sister and family so though i have details cannot say here.
It is a 999 year lease at £1.00 a year if demanded.

The reason i ask is they just want to confirm as they not know, there is no issue but they prefer be clear.

    many thanks

Let their solicitor sort it out then and no need to listen to people on the internet making a guess on it.

Nothing to do with the planning process.

    That's what i thought.

Not much point in going to solicitor as there not an issue here but may be if one of these guys get involved.

    Thanks for replies.
