Which walls we put vents in ?

    Dear all,

We are adding wall vents to an 80's bungalow. When I walked around the property on Sunday, it got me thinking, which walls should we put the vents in ? as in should we put the vents in north, south, east or west facing walls ?

Is there any preference? Is one wall better than another when it comes to reducing excessive drafts or wind noise? Does it even matter ? What height should the vent be ?

    Thank you for any response

One vent per room. That's all that matters

Have you considered other ventilation options?
Have you considered mech extract for wet rooms
If you have choice keep away from road facing walls

Even if not putting in a HRV system, I would go for ceiling vents connected to roof tile vents. Using extractor fans in the bathroom/s. No holes in walls and would possibly make the upgrade to HRV easier at a later date.
