Starting a new career.....

    Hi,
Just looking for a bit of advice....
I've been in the same role as P.A/Admin for the last 10 years which has little room for growth within it for me. The company I work for are excellent and treat their staff well but unfortunately I've nowhere else to go within the company nor have that much interest in the other areas. Over the last 10 years I've had 2 kids/bought a house etc and havn't been able to take risks/try for other jobs as I felt I should just be happy with what I have and pay the bills etc.

Anyway I'm in my early 30's now and having a "what am I doing with my life" phase and wondering would anybody have any advice/insight into getting into a fashion buyer type role?
Am I too old to begin this type of career?? My only retail experience is from over 10 years ago but I loved it!! I've researched the area and feel it's something suited to my interests and also my skills but not my experience or knowledge. If I could afford to work in a retail store I would-but with mortgage/childcare etc I can't afford that.

    Any advice at all?
    Thanks!
    Ann
