EPG issues?

    Hey all,

    I.m having an odd issue lately whereby my EPG is displaying incorrect listings and multiple channels are listing their programming as eiher "This is Sky" or "This is Sky UHD Platinum" displayed as all programmes.

    My usual setup is CrossEPG download, I've deleted and re-downloaded with same result.
    I've tried using rytec with the same result.

    Anyone having similar issues?

    Have you deleted the crossEPG folder and 'epg.dat' file from the HDD before trying a fresh download?

    Yep, with the same result.
    its the second time in a month it has happened to me.
    Last time, much as Id like to say "I fixed it" it just self righted.

    Mutant HD2400, running Vix 4.1.012. 3 tuners
    I've reverted to a previously known good backup and the EPG issue has cleared up.
    Its an odd one though, usually issues like this come from a corrupted EPG.dat file in my experience.
    In this case deleting the file made no difference, nor did using a different source.
    I can only think the corrupted file was persisting somewhere, somehow.
    But its sorted now.

    Well if its sorted.

    The conflict could be caused by some anomaly in the tuner config, too many epg sources being picked or the epg source data becoming corrupt. In the latter case its normally a usb stick that needs to reformatted.

    To manually rule all this you'd have to ftp into the various folders where epg.dat file is, depending on how you configed its location in the epg config menu and deleting the epg.dat file and re doanloading it in crossepg menu.
