    Hi all,

I am due to start a job on a CE Scheme. I understand that since this job is 19.5 hours and I am on the maximum social welfare rate (€188 a week) I will be given the minimum CE rate of €210.50. Does anyone know if this amount is before or after tax?

    Regards,
    M

    It's before tax.

It's before tax but unless you have some other employment lined up to run in conjunction with the CE scheme you won't earn enough to pay PAYE CE is employee prsi exempt and payment falls under the threshold for USC.
