Attic felt perished in places

    Dear those in the know,

I've taken over a bungalow that was built in the 80's. I was up in the attic today and notice that the black felt laid over the timbers (under the roof tiles) is perished in one or two places with tears in it. In the second photo below, you can see through the felt to the roof tiles. Is this an easy fix? Does it even need fixing ?

Time to get it felted on the new. Strip roof tiles, old lats and felt and start again. A job for a few dry days. Some new tiles will be needed but can be fitted at rear of roof.
