Should be a way to pay via PayPal

AFAIK, either with Visa through paypal which attracts extra fee, or through bank transfer without extra fees.

You can do the bank transfer online through online banking but some of the banks require you to set it up first in the bank by bringing in the mindfactory bank details.

It's a once off process though.

Which banks would not allow to do instant bank transfer online?

Permanent TSB. I don't know after that. Probably just a security check to stop people clearing out your bank account if they get your details.

Highly recommend not using Bank Transfer. Germany has laws (I'm basing this mostly on hearsay) that protect the buyer in a Bank Transfer which are very common in Germany. In Ireland you are less protected. A few people here were burned when HardwareVersand.de went bankrupt (technically their parent company did, but it affected all subsidiaries) and they went on the bottom of a long list of creditors. I think most managed to get their stuff or money back, but it's a pretty big risk when there are much more secure options such as PayPal right beside it.

What are the chances of mindfactory going bankrupt just during those few days between bank transfer and moment they post your items?

IMO risk is such minimal, that it's not worth extre 15 or 20 quid for paypal payment.

It happened to hardwareversand, left more than a few boardsies hanging

When the risk is ~€1000 down the drain with no hope of getting it back without weeks of bank calls and emails, and even then no guarantee, the risk is not worth it for the sake of an extra €20
