Have an led light is a kitchen press that is gone faulty.
    The transformer is 12v, 0.41A.
I found a transformer that is 12V & 1.0A. Lights are back working but will this transformer do any damage or do I need to find an exact replacement ?

It most likely will be fine, unless the led lights require a constant current source at 0.41A. Can you post a pic of the original transformer?
