So this leak started happening last night...

No biggy, I live in an apartment and the mains isolation is handy to turn off. This morning I took the head off and went off looking for a new one...

Went to B&Q and Woodies and both places didn't recognise the fitting type. Other plumbing places I drove by weren't open (Sunday).

I'd prefer to simply replace the head section (3rd pic) rather that having to replace the whole unit (1st pic) because it could be a bit tricky to get at.

    Question is:
Is this a common/still in use system?
There's no name on the taps to identify the brand, would anyone know the maker?

The apartment is about 7 years old, these taps were probably purchased 10 years ago.

Woodies and B&Q staff wouldn't have any knowledge of something like that.
Chadwicks, plum centre, Davies, heatmerchants, or dpl should be able to help you tomorrow. They all open at 8am. There is a cartridge inside that needs replacing

Agree 100% about Woodies, less than useless but I'd only agree 85% with you on B&Q as they're just about useless.
I thought I'd have to pop to a plumbing centre (as above) but I'm just worried that the fitting is non-standard because a lot of stuff used in the End of Boom time apartment were a bit weird.
