I noticed there was no thread for this, just watched the three episodes in a row that was broadcast on BBC 1 in the end of November, starting of December. Very dark and claustrophobic drama about the serial killer John Christie played brilliantly by Tim Roth based on the late forties and early fifties in London, in fact all the supporting actors and actresses are brilliant in this, worth a watch. I also recommend the original film 10 Rillington Place with Richard Attenborough, Judy Geeson and John Hurt.

So has no one seen this or can be bothered to talk about it, I thought it was brilliant.

saw the first one, really enjoyed it but thought it was very dark. The OH wasn't interested in watching part 2 so we never got round to it. Should have recorded it but i think it clashed with another recording we had going on. Is it worth the search online to watch it - its based on a true story. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Christie_(murderer)

Definitely, if you enjoyed the original film you will enjoy this, it was filmed in a very dingy part of London that is demolished now, the latest series was filmed in parts of Glasgow and London, but that era was a bit more poverty stricken and the filming is quite grimy and dark, which I can imagine is about as realistic as it will get. Its a slow burner old style thriller.

Missed it on BBC. Hoping RTE might pick it up as they've done with the likes of Happy Valley. I saw the film when I was a youngster. Didn't sleep very well for a while afterwards.
