Jobseekers & Living outside the state

    Hey Guys,

I'm just curious - I work part time for a company that's based in the state but for economic reasons I can no longer afford to live in the state as my part time income wouldn't allow me to rent a room let alone to survive in that room.

As I used to be full time, I know I can claim jobseekers for the days I don't work but, if I live in Northern Ireland while maintaining my work in the ROI can I still claim jobseekers for the days I'm not working as PRSI will still be paid?

    This might be of help.

Had a google there so edited my post.

It looks like you could still get the Irish JSA rate for a few months. Your PRSI would count in NI.
