    Hi,
As part of a college study, I'm looking for information relating to historical water composition in Ireland. I've consulted Irish water's water quality webpage at https://www.water.ie/water-supply/water-quality/ but need some more detailed information. Could you provide me with a contact who would be able to provide these details? This would help be grateful with my studies.

    Many thanks in advance

    Hi jhansynk10,

Would you mind confirming the specific requiements you are looking for, and we will follow up with the relevant department?

For example, are you seeking monitoring data, statistics etc.?

    Thanks,
    Mairead

    Hi Mairead,
Yes sure, I'm looking for historical data going back as far as possible. Similar to the information supplied at https://www.water.ie/w...upply/water-quality/ however more specifically I'm looking for information relating to the Lithium and Magnesium levels present in the water supply across the country. Is this something that IW would have available? Ideally someone in environmental science would be able to answer this.

Many thanks, if you need to contact me further I'm happy to pm on my email/phone details.

Apologies for the delay in response, as we were chasing up an answer for you.

As Lithium is not a regulatory parameter, it is not included in our monitoring programmes.

However, we can provide Magnesium data from 2014 to the present day (i.e. when Irish Water was established). If you require data earlier than this, we recommend you see the EPA's SAFER website, which you can find here.

We hope this helps and if you have any other queries, please let us know.

    Thanks,
    Mairead
