Im just assuming if you are drawing your pension then you are of pensonable age? At which point you dont claim Job Seekers you would claim the old age pension.

All I'm trying to figure out is what am I entitled to, wether it's JSB or JSA it doesn't matter.

Im not old enough for the old age pension yet but I want to retire while I still have a few healthy years but my HSE pension is less than expected.

Yes it dose matter,JSB is a stamp based payment and you would not lose any of your pension Jsa is means tested.

    JSB http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/unemployed_people/jobseekers_benefit.html

    JSA http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/social_welfare/social_welfare_payments/unemployed_people/jobseekers_allowance.html

I would be available. Are there any other social welfare entitlements that I am able to apply for?

Well I feel out were available you could apply for the jobseekers, you wouldn't receive any payment for first 9 weeks as you left your job voluntary, Jobseeker's benefit would last you 9 months your pension would probably leave you not qualifying for Jobseeker's Allowance when your stamps run out unless you would be over 65 when your Jobseeker's would be due to end, then you would get unlimited Jobseeker's to pension

    Hi
What class PRSI were you paying when you retired and how old are you?

Claim job seekers benefit for 9 months and then onto job seekers allowance which is means tested.
