Old N64 connecting to new Modern Flat Screen

Guys/Gals I am hoping someone can help me. We dug out the old N64 last week and connected it to the newer flat screen tv, the game worked for awhile and then it kept resetting itself like there wasn't enough power going to the tv/console. I am hoping someone can help me.

We dug out the old N64 last week and connected it to the newer flat screen tv, the game worked for awhile and then it kept resetting itself like there wasn't enough power going to the tv/console.

I have looked on youtube and they mention getting a cable but when I tried gamestop they had no idea what I was talking about. Would anyone be able to help me and let me know what sort of cable I need..........please please bare in mind I am not a techie person
