for reasons i wont go into , i have 150 k to spend right now , i could buy a modest house in irelands fourth city and probably bring in 12 k per annum gross but im actually not at all excited by such a venture , not just in terms of potential trouble with tenants as i know the law is biased against landlords in this country

im actually thinking of investing in the city of london investment trust , dividends raised every year for the past fifty , stable if unexciting movement trend down the years , as of today a dividend yield of 3.55 after fees

am i being unambitious by going the equity route over a BTL ?
