Enda kennys pal who commutes to the seanad from the usa was told today that an new consultative group are to meet in London next week about the future of lw 252, now lw 252 was unavailable in London when Atlantic were pumping out 500kw, so I doubt RTE on 120kw are listenable there today and wasn't £100k sterling already spent researching about the future of that service about 18 months ago ? I wonder has this become another gravy train for friend's of politicians to line their pockets with tax payers money like Irish water, eircode etc etc? https://www.kildarestreet.com/sendebates/?id=2017-02-02a.8&s=speaker%3A479#g14

It's not a new consultative group, it's the existing one.

Well that may not be too bad then but I don't know why London tho, if someone was to take out a bog standard lw set at that meeting, i doubt they'd even be able to pick up rte and why are the government even farting around with focus groups when if they really wanted RTE to keep lw they could reform the tv licence funding model which would mean rte would have the money for none viable services like lw... can't help but feel that there is something in this for the corrupt scum in Leinster house and their fat friends

There are plenty of other threads about it with varying opinions, as is the way of things. But corruption by any of the parties involved is not something I can remember being raised before. It is actually a criminal offence, which you can report to the authorities, if you have any evidence.
