How much is a brand new, factory sealed 60GB Playstation 3 console worth? It's the first model released back in 2007.

The 60GB version was the one compatible with the PS1 and PS2 disks too so it was certainly the most sought after model.

Ideally you will want to sell this factory sealed still to a die-hard collector for a decent price because for someone just looking for a PS3, it's not worth spending more on the older models that were more susceptible to the BLOD.

So with that in mind, if you can afford to wait for proper collector, you could probably get €500+ but if you're looking for a quick sale, I'd say you'd be lucky to get €250 (which could buy you a new PS3 and working PS2 easily)

Thank you. Yes, the box is factory sealed and it's pristine.

Look to sell to a collector so, these are worth quite a bit to the right people...

They are highly sought after to hack and run CFW also....

    Neither are factory sealed.

Factory sealed consoles can go for hundreds / thousands a few short years after theyve stopped making them.

OP, im a collector and id say anywhere between €400-500. But whether you get that is another thing.

Id hold onto it for another few years.

That's the advice I would give too. The 69gb ones are still the best ps3 that came out. Ability to play ps1, PS2 and ps3 games is going to be something collectors will love and look for.

I got mine original 60gb, but with upgraded 500gb hdd, which was barely used and mostly for netflix. Misses asked me if I would just give it away to kid as it's unplugged and sitting in a drawer, but I declined. That thing is rare and will be my ability to play some of the classics in far future.

I have an original 60GB full size PS3 up in the attic. Not factory sealed but it is back in it's original box and in mint condition. I think I'll be hanging on to it for a while yet

My one is still chugging along nicely. I am delighted with the longevity of it.

Yes, they'll be worth a bit down the line.

Make sure you get the chip reballed and not reflowed. Reflowing just melts the solder and lets it solidify again. This weakens the solder (which is **** to begin with) and you will be lucky to get 4 months out of it. A reball replaces all the solder with leaded solder and gives much better longevity than even a factory unit. More expensive but worth it.
