Water supply not working - most likely damaged by utility company working on undergro

    I logged a query with Irish Water on Dec 16, 2016. I can provide you with the reference number if necessary.
    The background is that a utility company were doing work on underground phone lines in mid December along the same length of road that the water pipe runs. Since then I have had no water so it appears that the pipe connecting my fields to the meter must have been disturbed or twisted in some way.
    The supply is to cattle drinking troughs in 2 fields. I still have no supply.
    The local water dept (Limerick Co Council) called out as a result of the ticket logged and said that the water is coming to the meter. However I still have no supply. It was working prior to the works in Mid December.

    I would appreciate advice as to how I can get this fixed?

    Hi Sean1h,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

    If your local Water Department have confirmed that the supply is coming to the meter, it would not be under the remit of Irish Water to repair. We are responsible for Ireland's public mains and sewers and would advise to contact a private plumber if it is a private side matter.

    We can also look into your account and ensure that this is the case, if you provide the following details:

    - Name;
    - Address; and
    - Contact number.

    Thanks in advance,
    Allanah
