Hi everyone I have a long term groin injury. Its ongoing 3 years since summer 2014. I felt like I tore it by throwing a high Kick at a bag before warming up correctly. Its re occuring goes very easily even when walking feels vunerable like its contracting and about to go if this makes sense. I did for a period go nack training after about 10 months and starting running without problems in march and april 2015. Then I had another problem and Im not sure how related this is but I Also have trouble with my Achilles on the same leg since april 2015. That actually went while driving like a pop feeling. That ached and still to thos day when I try to work out it will flare up. I have Been to numerous physios and they've been no help with either problem and ive also been to the hospital and my gp. The physios I have seen have Changing opinions constantly from muscle injury to nerve problems. First one recommended MRI second said would be no go? My gp also agrees mri no benefit? I Have tried rehab exercises loosening of the hip joint for the groin and concentric and eccentric movements with the achilles. I had no benefit with these and I then gave up. Ive now started walking as I am starting to get fed up with being so inactive I cant do the bike leg workouts nothing. Walking on the street is fine but walking on the treadmill seems to aggrevate the achilles. One of the physios I went to said that the problems were related?I feel I need to see a specialist in Dublin?Any recommendations or anyone with past experiences of this. Every time ive tried running or cycling or squeezes for the groin after the exercise My groin up to the pubic bone will feel raw and tender.

There is a chance they are linked, have you tried any other therapies or just physio? Did anyone look at your pelvis or mention leg length differences?

I have seen 5 different physios about these same problem the mkst recent is the one who said they were linked.. What made me skeptical was that he said first it was a muscle gave me exercises and then said it was a nerve when the muscle exercises didnt work.. He was also very against the idea of an MRI when previously I had been in the same company and the previous physio(who no longer works rhere anymore as she got a job in drogheda hospital) said that it wluld be a good idea for an mri? Any suggestions Ive done the dry needling massage exercises im at my wits end im only 28 !!!

Have you tried Amatsu? You can google it and get more info on it. It's based on the body being balanced and allowing it to heal. I dont want to say anymore in case i get in trouble with moderators
