Evaporation error on ME website?

I was just having a look at the climate data on the ME website and for evaporation to me it seems like something is wrong there.

    http://www.met.ie/climate/monthly-data.asp?Num=532

First, the evaporation is higher than the potential evaporation.. this makes no sense as the potential should be the maximum if you have sufficient water available.

But even so, the values for evaporation seem much too high to me, around 800mm? That's close to the amount of precipitation recorded, in Germany for example mean E is 60% of P (~450mm out of 750mm).

It says both are calculated using a Penman Monteith formula, but are they both potential then? Am I reading it correctly or is there some kind of naming error there and what they refer to as evaporation is something else?

Good reasoning in the post but I don't have the knowledge to verify. Any experienced hands out there want to chip in?
