Going to back First du Charmil in the 1st at Towcester tomorrow. Form of his 1st run seems pretty strong.
Also heading to Clonmel races so dont be shy about putting up fancies or tips!

Fancy a few tomorrow so good luck if you follow!

YPSILANTI in the last at Towcester. Bolted up over fences few days ago. Reverts back to hurdles where it runs off the same mark over hurdles.Only doubt is the ground but I think it will be too well in for it to have much of a difference. 6/4 PaddyPower

MONALEE in the 3rd at Clonmel, Only 3l behind Death Duty last time out. That's the closest anyone got to that horse this season. Nearest dangers in the field tomorrow are the mullins pair Turcagua and Battleford. Turcagua was 9L behind Death Duty last time out. Battleford was beaten 9l by The Storyteller. Monalee beat that by 1l 11/8

COGBURN in the bumper at Wincanton. Ran a deccent race on debut when stayed on for 3rd. Each way chance @ 6/1 on Bet365

HARWOODS STAR in the 4:35 @ Southwell, been unlucky recently and think he was a win in him. Finished 3rd last time out and has the beating of Vroom and Boots and Spurs on previous form. 5/2 General

GLENALMOND in the 6:25 Chelmsford, been tracking this one for a while. Was rated 107, now 69. The recent "gamble" on the Stelle horse might deter a few from it but I think he'll be close tomorrow. 12/1 EW

Singles and a small few Double/Trebles for me

Regarding Glenalmond, have a look at his last run here. Wasn't asked for everything anyway and went up a gap that wasn't there.

Lads, be very careful backing at Towcester tomorrow. The going is heavy (possibly bottomless) and with such a stiff uphill finish, you really need a horse that is going to relish the conditions.

Fancy Tony Martins yoke in the 4.10...didn't try too hard the last twice

Speaking of bad ground. Thought Hereford would be called off today. Loads pulled up.

How bad was that Cheltenham bumper last year. Battleford 7s tomorrow for this. And the thing that one it has been shocking this season too.

3.45 tomorrow Bennys Mist's form figures wouldn't inspire you with confidence but he's been running in some hot handicaps and will find this easier with him mark in free fall. 16/1 best is 12s now risky but well treated

His jumping is atrocious and Ruby has had enough of him by the looks of it!

On this theme, I think Winston Churchill at 7/1 is a decent bet in the 3:55. Goes in as top weight but with a 7lb claimer on board. Has the credentials over heavy, so ground should not be a concern.

    AYELYA 3.00 16/1 ew B365

Think this one has a decent chance today. Ran really well last 2 runs. Was up beside Like a Demon when unseating 2 runs back and is 4lbs better off with him today and lto was coming to challenge at the last when getting completely blocked out of it. Rachael Blackmore on board which is also a plus. Been nibbled at with a few firms but still 16s still available with b365

    Good Luck

Serinity now should win 3.30 at Southwell 11/8

Adrian Heskin, take a bow. Cracking ride in the 2:00 there.

I've let the temptation of the price get the better of me and i've backed Battleford at 7's, good bumper form(on paper anyway) then disappointed on his debut when tactics questionable, won nto in a poor enough looking maiden before finishing second the last day when he couldn't live with the Storytellers pace.

I'd expect him closer to the pace today as i think he's a stayer more than anything, i'm interested in Jessies NTTT too but hoping he's being aimed at a race further down the line and doesn't do me.

I've done the same Pat. :o

Samphire coast 10 wide around the home turn at Southwell there, sounds bad but the worse thing is he only needed to be 5 wide, shocking ride by Noel garbutt, the horse never stood a chance .

Battleford ran well enough, thought when he got motoring he might win but Monalee always had his measure. Monalee could turn out to be a very good animal.

Monalee won easily there, hard to get a read on the race at all though, Gigginstown boys went too quick it seems. Battleford's jumping's getting a bit better but still pretty poor.

No idea what Gigginstown were thinking, trying to make all over 3m in heavy ground was silly. Ruby' horse just looked like it was out for a spin and Battleford clearly has jumping issues. Not sure I would be reading too much into Monalee's win.

Monalee has some very solid form, 2nd in a bumper to No Comment, has beaten the Storyteller over hurdles and ran an honorable second to Death Duty last time out. Would surely be going to the festival with a live each way chance in the Albert Bartlett.

I'm hearing plenty of bookie reps, racing journo's etc. going on about opposing DD as Albert Bartlett's known for upsets and i hope they do because it's looking more and more like he's a monster and the bigger the price the better.

Monalee a serious prospect but I would be going Neptune after today. Hard to see him reversing form with DD and the Neptune field looks less crowded.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,107 ✭✭✭HarshOstrich

Monalee is a serious jumper, he jumps seems to glide over his hurdles like there not there.

I'm hoping Shannan star can get his head in front in the next at tow. But I think magical man might be closer on her tail

Edit: picked the wrong one again.

Furia Curzada at 36 on the exchanges for me in the 4:50. First time debut at Meydan so whether it will take to conditions is up in the air, but at a huge price I will give it a chance.

Zorba the Greek utterly friendless in the betting for the first at Chelmsford after a switch over from the Irish stadium of Charles O'Brien. Down 4 lbs from a most recent run at Dundalk it is surely minor value over less competitive Chelmsford City racing at a nice 14/1?

7:00 - Welease Bwian at an eye catching mark and below the rating it had as a course and distance winner just a year ago. 11/1

Starboard winning tonight and the removal of Jamie Spencer from it no coincidence. Managed to **** it the last twice was on it last time
