    He seems to be genuinely injured and required some surgery - just wondering could it be a case he was out of work wouldn't have income protection and this was the only way to 'square' things up as opposed to putting in an easy claim? If I was injured in such circumstances and loss of pay while I was off work caused hardship for my family I would consider my options too I think

    I don't doubt for one second that he is not genuinely injured. I do think one or both parties was not on the ball in regard to their own safety or the other persons safety. All this court case will do is raise insurance costs for genuine Arborists and prevent mates helping each other out.

    For me the firewood is important and I enjoy exercising the saws.

    Court case seems to be only to decide the amount paid, being a dairy farmer I'm sure he has public liability insurance
    If the guy iis disabled, he's entitled to be looked after
