Hi , i have some xl and word files, stored on a external hard drive . Is there some way I can open these on my new computer that dosen't have office suite installed, Any tips would be much appreciated. Sime.

You can download the likes of Open Office for free. https://www.openoffice.org/

Not all features will be available or display exactly the same as Microsoft Office, but you will have the basic / intermediate functionality. There will be some additional features.
