Getting quotes of €60 a meter cubed ie €15,000

Last time I got stuff dug out a 20-tonne truck was £250 punts, a while ago I'll admit!

    Is dumping that expensive now?

Need a 13-ton excavator and a few tipper trucks if anyone knows anyone. In Dublin 8.

13m wide front access so easy to get trucks in.

You could get a grab lorry in. Around 200-250 a load. They can load themselves if the material is stockpiled. They take around 8m3 a load.

Any point in contacting a few landscapers. If you're talking about clean topsoil you should be close to making a few euro from it. Even clean subsoil has a value (or used to) for capping off dumps of other types of construction waste.

500 tonne approx?? 25 truckloads. On an hour roundtrip for arguments sale. Three days hire on one truck equivalent to shift the lot plus a days hire on the digger. Some stretch from there to €15,000.

I'll def give a few landscapers an email. Good idea.

Was last used as a pig yard so it will be mighty fertile soil ;-)

Dumping attracts a landfill levy of €20/tonne. The levy alone would be €12,500.

If the material can be used for capping or filling, that might be another matter.

Who is going to clean the street afterwards?
